How is RideComm Different Than Other Communication Systems?
INTERCOM Our Bluetooth intercom Headsets / Helmet Kits let Driver and Passenger talk back and forth over an always open, noise canceling microphone.
TWO-WAY RADIO Push-Button Radio Communication between YOU and OTHER cars, buggies, or bikes who have radios. This is called Push-to-Talk (PTT) Communication.
MUSIC Our Headsets allow each user to pair to their own phone or tablet and listen to Music, WHILE still being able to intercom with their partner AND access PTT between vehicles over a Radio. Radios will communicate as long as they are on the same Channel.
Bluetooth high quality Music/Phone Call/Navigation can be used at the same time as intercom (VOX) Driver to Passenger communication.
Separate volume control settings for music versus Intercom
Driver and Passenger can each listen to different music from 2 different devices.
Driver and passenger both connect to the handheld 2-way radio for car to car communication with our exclusive adapter cable.
2-way radio monitors (listens to) two different channels at the same time. The channel with the arrow (A or B) is the channel that the Push to Talk button transmits on.

**TWRA-Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency-The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) requires all riders under 18 to wear DOT-approved helmets while riding in a Side-by-Side (SxS) vehicle on TWRA property. This requirement applies to both operators and passengers. In addition to helmets, riders must also wear goggles and use seat belts if in an SxS.
***Bluetooth Helmet Intercoms are for in-car intercom and listening to music only. No car-to-car capabilities.

If you already have a RideComm System that utilizes a hand held radio and would like to increase your car-to-car communication range, you can upgrade to this B-Tech GMRS 50 v.2 for the maximum transmit output wattage allowed for GMRS Communication.

*Helmet kit--it is not optimal to listen to music and use the Bluetooth push-to-talk button together because two-way radio can be distorted and/or music cuts out. One or the other, music or Bluetooth PTT, is the best option for consistent sound with the helmet kit.

GMRS Frequencies
General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) Radios, operate on specific UHF frequencies that are set aside by the FCC for general public use.
The FCC wants you to have a license to operate these GMRS radios.
The license is $35 and there is no test. The license covers your household and is valid for 10 years.
